God is not content for you to stay where you are. He never has been. Every major encounter in Scripture happened when someone was willing to go up. Abraham climbed a mountain and found provision at the top. Moses went up and came back down with his face shining. Elijah went to the top of Carmel and heard the sound of rain before there was a cloud in the sky. Jesus took Peter, James, and John up on a high mountain and His face shone like the sun.
The pattern has never changed. If you want to see what God is doing, you have to go up to where He is revealing it.
Look at Revelation 4:1. John heard a voice like a trumpet saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” A door was standing open in heaven. The invitation was clear. Come up. Come up and I will show you what you cannot see from where you are standing.
That invitation has never been rescinded.
The problem is that most believers have settled at ground level. We have settled for a Christianity that is busy but powerless. Full of information but empty of encounter. We attend. We consume. We go through the motions. And all the while the voice of God is saying the same thing He said to John. Come up here.
The upper room is the place where everything shifts. It is the place where the 120 waited and the Holy Spirit fell. It is the place where Daniel prayed three times a day and received visions that theologians are still studying. It is the place where dead things come back to life and chains fall off and prayer shakes the atmosphere.
The upper room is not a building. It is a posture. It is a daily, intentional decision to go higher when everything around you is pulling you lower. It is choosing encounter over entertainment. Presence over program. Depth over distraction.
God is calling you higher right now. Not to a conference. Not to another event. Into a lifestyle that produces supernatural encounters with Him.
