Several weeks ago, I did what I always do. I asked the Lord what He wanted me to read, and He led me straight to Psalm 24. I felt the weight of it immediately. It was one of those moments where the words don’t just land on the page, they land on your spirit. I didn’t know the timing then, but I do now.
Just days later, without any prompting, regional leaders in Awakening Prayer Hubs and our in-house intercessors began saying the same thing: they sensed a fresh wave of glory coming in January. When the watchmen start picking up the same frequency, heaven is announcing something. And this aligns with a prophetic word Chuck Pierce gave me years ago. God was speaking long before we realized He was preparing us for a visitation.
Psalm 24:7–9 gives us the invitation and the instruction: “Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.” Jesus is the ultimate embodiment of God’s glory, and the King of Glory is still looking for gates He can enter.
Here’s what the Spirit is showing me: glory often follows a pattern. The first time the glory entered the world in bodily form, it wasn’t with fanfare in a palace. It was in a manger because there was “no room” in the inn. God doesn’t require perfect places, but He does require available ones. If we want glory, we have to make room.
And don’t misread the intensity many of you have been feeling. Jesus came into darkness, oppression, and volatility, and the light broke in anyway. Glory doesn’t wait for ideal conditions. Glory invades darkness to overthrow it. Increased warfare is often the enemy’s panic response to approaching glory. Discern the timing.
Some of you are also in a hidden season, like Mary carrying Jesus before anyone could see what God was doing. Glory is conceived before it is revealed. If you feel stretched, stirred, and unsettled, it may be because God is forming something in secret that He’s about to unveil openly.
And remember this: the shepherds saw glory because they were watching. Glory comes to the watchers.
If you’re hungry for more of God, if you sense a shift, if you know there’s something deeper coming, I want you to watch the full message free at www.ahop.online. Lift the gates. Make room. The King of Glory is coming in, and nothing stays the same.
