In 2019, we were in Europe constantly, sometimes five days, sometimes three weeks at a time. It was one of the sweetest seasons of my life. It stretched me, but it also lit me up. We had rhythm. We had favor. We had momentum.
Then in December 2019, the Holy Spirit began to signal a shift. I didn’t get a spreadsheet of details. I just sensed we would travel less often and stay longer when we did. Around the same time, He pressed me to strengthen what was happening at home, including increasing the flow of messages each week. Something was changing, even if I couldn’t yet explain it.
In March, we landed in London and headed to our usual spot. On the way, a strange grief hit me out of nowhere, like someone had died. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I might not see England again. A few days later we left. The next day, London locked down. I didn’t return for more than three years.
That’s how God is. He prepares before He pours.
Some of you can feel it too. You know something is shifting, but you don’t have all the details, and it’s making you restless. Hear me: the tension isn’t punishment. It’s an invitation. Not to panic. Not to force doors. To pray and prepare. Because often, nothing changes outwardly until something changes inwardly.
Jesus said you don’t put new wine into old wineskins (Mark 2:22). In other words, God loves you too much to promote you into what you’re not ready to carry.
If the Lord is pressing on your heart, He’s not condemning you. He’s aligning you. “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you” (Joshua 3:5).
Pray: Lord, help me not to rush or resist. Make me ready for what You’re ready to release. Align my heart, renew my mind, and lead me by the way I should go. In Jesus’ name.
