Announcing: Zoom-Based Connect Groups

There are moments in your walk with God when you realize something is missing. You’re praying. You’re pressing. You’re listening to the Word. But there’s still a gap. Not in your hunger. Not in your sincerity. In your connection.

God never designed you to grow in isolation.

From the beginning, He set believers in community. Acts 2:46 says they continued daily with one accord, breaking bread from house to house. There was unity. There was relationship. There was shared pursuit. They didn’t just gather in large assemblies. They met in smaller circles where life could be lived out together.

That’s where strengthening happens. That’s where healthy accountability is formed. That’s where you are known.

This is why we built online connect groups at AHOP.online, where we meet via Zoom.

These groups create a space for real connection in the midst of a digital world. It’s one thing to receive teaching. It’s another thing to walk it out with others who are running in the same direction. When you step into a connect group, you’re stepping into a circle of believers who are pursuing God with intention.

Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 says, “Two are better than one… For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.” There is strength in that. There is protection in that. There is growth in that.

Many believers today are trying to stand alone in a season that requires corporate strength. The pressure is increasing. The warfare is real. Discernment is critical. You need voices around you that will sharpen you, pray with you, and help you stay steady.

That’s what happens in online connect groups.

You’re not just logging into another meeting. You’re stepping into fellowship. You’re entering a place where you can be encouraged, challenged and strengthened. You begin to build relationships with people who understand your hunger for God, your call to prayer, your desire to grow deeper.

Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” That sharpening doesn’t happen at a distance. It happens in proximity. It happens in conversation. It happens when you are engaged, not just observing.

There is also something powerful about agreement.

Jesus said in Matthew 18:19, “If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” When you gather with others in unity, your prayers carry a different weight. There is a multiplication of faith. There is a strengthening of resolve.

In online connect groups, you pray together. You stand together. You believe together. And in that environment, growth accelerates.

Some of you have been asking God for deeper relationships. You’ve been asking for people who understand you. People who won’t look at you strangely because you are serious about prayer, because you discern, because you refuse compromise.

This is one of the ways God answers that prayer. But you have to step in.

You cannot wait for connection to find you. You have to position yourself for it. You have to say yes to being part of a community, not just a viewer of content.

Hebrews 10:24–25 tells us to consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together. That word still applies. And in this generation, assembling can take different forms, but the purpose remains the same.

If you’ve been feeling disconnected, this is your invitation to change that. If you’ve been wanting more than just watching services, this is your next step. If you know you need people around you who are running after God, don’t delay.

Pray about it. Ask the Lord where He wants you connected.

And if He is leading you here, step into an online connect group with intention. Come ready to engage. Come ready to grow. Come ready to build.

You weren’t meant to walk this alone.
