My daughter is very musical. When she was ten years old, she said, “I want to take violin lessons.” I thought, that’s going to last about a week — isn’t that what kids do? And of course she didn’t want the used or cheap violin — she wanted the one up there in the case with the special bow. So I got her that violin and enrolled her in lessons three times a week. She’d come home and practice, and I’m like, “Lord, why hast Thou cursed me?” It was intense — but over time she got better, and eventually she became very, very good at the violin. I’m so glad we invested in that.
