How many of you have read A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens? Probably not too many — I had to read it in high school. But Dickens wrote a line in that book that has described my life since before 2017: “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.” Over the past eight years, I’ve had my body collapse and been bedridden for the better part of 18 months — but I’ve also seen my prayer movement explode into over 100 nations. I’ve had broken bones, but I’ve seen major reconciliations and close relationships restored. It’s been the best of times and the worst of times — but a lot of it is about perspective.
