There are moments in life when nothing looks different on the outside, but you know something has changed on the inside.
You still have the same routine. The same responsibilities. The same circle. But something in your spirit is leaning forward. You cannot explain it neatly. You just know you cannot stay on autopilot anymore.
I remember a season like that in my own life. From the outside, it looked like stability. It looked like success. It looked like answered prayer. And it was. But beneath the surface, the Lord was dealing with me. Not because something was wrong, but because something was next.
That is what many believers miss. We assume a shift has to be triggered by crisis, conflict, or collapse. But God does not only shift you out of pain. Sometimes He shifts you into purpose.
A divine shift often begins quietly. Not with a loud announcement, but with a holy interruption. Your appetites start changing. Your tolerance for certain things gets lower. What once felt effortless starts feeling heavy. What once energized you starts wearing you out. You find yourself praying different prayers without trying to.
And if you are not careful, you will call it “burnout,” “boredom,” or “restlessness,” when it is actually the Lord getting your attention.
This is where discernment matters. You do not want to move because you are emotional, offended, or impatient. But you also do not want to ignore the Spirit’s promptings until you end up stuck in yesterday’s season.
God governs seasons. He appoints times. He orders steps. He prepares your heart before He rearranges your life.
If you have been sensing a stirring, pay attention. Do not force doors open, but do not pretend you cannot hear Him either.
Because when God is shifting you, clarity is coming. And grace is coming. And the next season is not meant to intimidate you, it is meant to elevate you.
