The Lie That’s Quietly Sabotaging Your Walk With God

The Lie That’s Quietly Sabotaging Your Walk With God

One of the enemy’s easiest victories comes when he convinces you that God is frustrated with you Not through a major attack. Not through deep temptation.

Just a quiet suggestion… “God is disappointed in you. God is tired of you. God is pulling away.”

If you believe that lie, the enemy can sit back and watch you sabotage your own walk with God.

Jesus exposed this trap in the parable of the prodigal son. We often focus on the son’s rebellion, but the real power of the story is found in his mindset when he came home. He rehearsed unworthiness. He expected anger. He braced himself for rejection. Many believers today live in that same condition, even though they’re faithfully serving, praying, and trying to move forward.

This week, I addressed how condemnation worms its way into your thinking and quietly begins to redefine your relationship with God. Most Christians don’t see it happening. It shows up subtly in your everyday connection with God.

The enemy knows that once you accept the idea that God is mad at you, your confidence collapses. Your boldness shuts down. Your ability to hear God becomes distorted. You start expecting less from Him, believing less about Him, and approaching Him less often.

But Jesus told the story of the prodigal to reveal the Father’s heart. A Father who runs toward you while you’re still a long way off. A Father who restores before you can even explain yourself. A Father whose compassion overrides your shame.

In the message, I walk you through the spiritual consequences of believing the lie, the biblical truth that confronts it, and the shift that happens when you finally see God as He really is—not irritated, not holding you at a distance, but welcoming, restoring, and empowering.

If you have been wrestling with guilt, distance, or a quiet sense that you’re not measuring up… this message carries freedom for you.

This recap barely scratches the surface of what the Lord released.
